Rosalia Vila is also referred to as Rosalia Rosaly, is an Spanish singer from flamenco. Since she was a teenager Rosalia has explored the fringes of pop and traditional music. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitar and famous musician has described the voice of the new artist as sharp with sweetness but with bite. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually winning a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami the third album by her, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released on March 20th, 2022 in the wake of the live performance on Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to perform solo in the program. Motomami's Rosalia, who won an award for the Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
